The drive continues for about 20 min to the Bosnian – Montenegrin border (border waiting time 5-40 min) where we will cross into Montenegro and drive down the mountain slopes stopping along the way fro great panoramic views of the the Kotor Bay. Just as we touch the Montenegrin coast we arrive at Savina estates where wines are grown from Venetian times.
By strolling through their vineyards and cellars you will learn the story about winery and Obradovic family from London that made it all come true. Tasting of their premium wines is done on the winery terrace with spectacular views accompanied by home made corn bread, olives and prosciutto.
You will never want to leave this terrace but we have to continue along the Montenegrin coast to Montenegro-Croatian border (border waiting time 5-45 min) and cross into the most southern region of Croatia – the valley of Konavle. In the middle of the valley we will stop at family winery producing wine and owning vineyards for many generations for a wine-tasting and to listen their interesting family stories. Another wonderful scenic location, and most important, local Croatian awarded Dubrovacka Malvasija white wine. Your host will be also an owner of the winery that gonna serve and explain their passions to you and will perfectly wrap up this intense and interesting day.
For those who feel hungry and want to continue with authentic home made food experiences, we will gladly take you to some of our hidden gems in the area for late lunch in beautiful settings. For those who want to go back to the city, we have a relaxing 30 min drive back to Dubrovnik before we drop you off to your hotel and say farewell.
